Welcome to the Boca Raton Camera Club

Over 40 years in existence, our goal has always been to bring together photography enthusiasts–people of all ages and levels of experience, regardless of the type of camera they use–for the purpose of enhancing their skills in, and enjoyment of, the art and science of photography.

During our scheduled meetings at the Boca Raton Community Center we :

  • share our photography
  • hold Evaluation Meetings where our work is critiqued and scored by an outside evaluator
  • invite guest speakers and experienced club members to teach and demonstrate various photographic and computer software techniques
  • conduct informal, open discussions on subjects of interest to our members.

We also are affiliated with a free Photography Meetup Group, which welcomes everyone with interest to go on photo shoots to different places in the region.
Please come to a meeting to greet and be greeted and learn all we have to offer. If you are interested in photography, this is the place to be!

Previous Assigned Topics

Collection

May 12, 2021

Should contain multiple items of similar size or category, yet each component is an individual subject collected by a human collector whether intentional or not. Think kitchen utensils, stamps, or coins. It could even be crazy big like someone’s automotive collection.

Symmetry

April 14, 2021

Perspective

March 10, 2021

Image should utilize an angle from down, up, above, leading lines, etc. Though all images must be from some perspective, here the perspective is more important than the element being captured. Should be creative and obvious.
